Richard and Lynsey first met on Match.com back in 2016 - proof that sometimes swiping really does work! From the start, they just clicked (pun intended).
Richard and Lynsey began their relationship in Moseley, where they fully embraced the village lifestyle (translation: we spent a lot of time in the pubs). By 2018 the couple decided to be grown-ups and move to Shirley, though they still like to think of ourselves as honorary Moseley locals.
Richard introduced Lynsey to rugby, which quickly went from "What's the point of all those scrums?" to "When's the next match?!" These days, they'll happily rearrange weekends just to catch a game.
Music has always been another big part of their relationship. Many of their best nights have been in the garden with friends, singing far too loudly (and badly) at the top of our lungs. They're still waiting for Simon Cowell to knock on the door with a record deal.
Along the way, their circle of friends has grown and blended together into one brilliant group. Old friends, new friends, and plenty of stories that can never be repeated in polite company.
What started with a match online has turned into love, laughter, rugby, music and memories they'll never forget - and Richard and Lynsey can't wait to add "marriage" to that list.

Richard and Lynsey invite you to dress to impress in garden party formal. Below is some inspiration and the couple ask that you avoid wearing black or white (apart from men's shirts)

There's a possibility that Richard and Lynsey will be putting on a mini bus to get people from their house in Shirley to the venue and then a pick up from the venue the next day back to their house. There will be no pick-ups and drop offs along the way, so if you'd like to get on the mini bus please do let them know ASAP, so they can gauge numbers.
Accommodation:
Richard and Lynsey have paid for exclusive use of Constantine House, which is the hotel onsite at Thorpe Constantine. However, there are only 20 rooms; so it's first come, first served. If you would like a room, please let the couple know via your RSVP to discuss price and to ensure your room is reserved.
Just a 10 minute drive from Thorpe Constantine, the Appleby Park Hotel is within the services there's plenty of amenities.
Just an 11 minute drive from Thorpe Constantine, the Appleby Inn Hotel is just down from the services.
There are also a selection of hotels available in Tamworth town centre.
FAQs
Are children invited to the wedding?
Unfortunately, children are not invited. However, Richard's nephews will be in attendance on the day and they will be the only children there.
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to attempting to keep things in budget, only the people named on the invitation are invited.
When do I need to RSVP by?
The deadline to confirm your attendance is 3rd May 2026. If you don't respond, only one chaser will be sent; after which Richard and Lynsey will take it that you're unable to celebrate with them.
What time shall I arrive?
Please arrive around 1:30pm but by 1:45 at the very latest. The couple want to make sure everyone is seated and ready to celebrate their nuptials.
Is there parking on site?
There is ample parking at Thorpe Constantine. The couple do ask that if you're planning on drinking that you either stay with them at Constantine House or nearby. If you do wish to travel home they ask that you arrange suitable travel home via taxi. There's no need to risk driving drunk.
When does it end?
The reception will be wrapping up around midnight, so please plan accordingly.
Is the ceremony outside?
Subject to the weather, the plan is for the couple to exchange their vows in the stunning gardens. There is no shade though, so please take into account you may be under direct sun for some time. As the plan is to have the ceremony outside this means there will be lots of wildlife around; including bees and wasps but the venue do have wasp catchers around. Also please ensure that you take your hayfever tablets as there are lots of flowers.
Can I take pictures?
Richard and Lynsey would love for you to take plenty of pictures; just NOT during the ceremony. The ceremony will be unplugged and any person seen with a phone will be shamed during the wedding breakfast. However, to ensure that after the ceremony everyone can take and share pictures, there will be QR codes on the tables to access the virtual photo booth. All pictures you take within the app will automatically upload to a shared album for the couple to review the following day. Please do NOT post any pictures on social media until after the couple post something.
Is it a free bar?
The bar will not be free, please see the page regarding the cost of drinks. The drinks during the drinks reception, cocktail hour and drinks on the table during the wedding breakfast are complimentary. Is there an after party or brunch the next day?
There will be a little after party at Constantine House once the reception wraps up. Also for those staying at Constantine House there will be continental breakfast on offer in the morning.

Who should I speak with if I have an issue on the day?
Please speak with either the maid of honour, best man or mother of bride if you have any issues and they'll do their best to help you.
Will my dietary requirements/allergies be taken into account?
If you let Richard and Lynsey know of any dietary requirements and/or allergies when you RSVP then these will be taken into account when putting on meals and drinks.
